Dog friendly places in Latah County

We want to spend as much time with our pets as possible, but it’s not always easy. It can be tricky to find places where dogs are allowed if you’re looking to explore. Each business is going to have their own policy about whether pets can come in. Moscow & surrounding areas are full of great places to spend time with your dog. Grab a pup cup and have fun!

Places to play

Mountain View Park is an awesome place to bring your dog(s) to play off-leash in Moscow. There are about 16 acres of grass with a walking trail close by. This park is always my go-to for when I want to take my yellow lab to burn some energy. The owners & dogs are very well behaved, I have never had a bad experience. Dogs have plenty of room to run and it is partially fenced off by vegetation. There is a small creek that runs in-between the parking lot and the grass area. Although, you might want to bring a towel… that creek is sooo tempting for our furry friends.

Moscow Dog Park is a fully fenced, off-leash park located on the North side of Moscow. This park allows for separation from other groups if desired. Usually, a good number of dogs in the early afternoons/evenings (seasonal consideration in mind) who are well behaved with attentive owners. The park provides lots of toys & water, so you don’t have to!

Is it time to take your dog on their daily W-A-L-K? Bill Chipman Palouse Trail stretches 7.1 miles through the rolling wheat fields, offering a convenient, paved connection. The trail follows the former Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way and connects the rural university towns across the border of WA & ID. This trail is an on-leash trail so don’t forget your leash & waste bags.
