May in Moscow!

Spring is in full swing here on the Palouse, and May brings the perfect blend of sunshine and community energy to the local real estate market. With the school year wrapping up and the weather warming, it’s an ideal time for buyers and sellers to make their move. Whether you’re looking to list your home, find your next one, or just stay informed about what’s happening in the Moscow market, we’re here to help every step of the way.

home maintenance tip

Take advantage of the mild spring weather to inspect and reseal your home’s exterior woodwork— think decks, fences, railings, and stairs. The freezethaw cycles of a Palouse winter can cause cracks or wear in sealant, which leads to moisture damage and wood rot. A fresh coat of sealant now can extend the life of your outdoor spaces and keep them looking sharp all summer long.

mental health awareness

May is mental health awareness month. At Latah Realty, we believe home is more than just a place—it’s a foundation for well-being. As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s a great time to check in with ourselves and our community. Whether you’re settling into a new space or simply navigating life’s daily stress, small moments of care can go a long way.

For those in the Moscow area, here are a few local resources that support mental wellness:

  • Latah Recovery Center – Offers free peer support and mental health resources.
    latahrecoverycenter.org
  • UI Counseling & Mental Health Center – Available to students and community
    members. uidaho.edu/cmhc
  • Palouse River Counseling – A local provider offering a wide range of services.

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as finding the right home. We’re here to support you on both fronts.
